Jackpot Mines is Belatra Games’ first entry into the instant-game market — and they arrived with a genuine innovation: a progressive jackpot inside a Mines game. No other Mines variant offers this. Alongside the standard coins and mines on the grid, a third tile type — the jackpot symbol — can award an accumulated progressive prize pool. This changes the game’s appeal from pure multiplier-chasing to include a lottery-style jackpot element.
But there’s a significant catch that most reviews bury or ignore: the RTP varies dramatically by bet size. At qualifying bets (≥60 units), overall RTP including jackpot is approximately 97%. At minimum bets, RTP can drop as low as 88% — a 12% house edge that’s worse than most slot machines. This makes Jackpot Mines the most bet-size-sensitive game we’ve reviewed.
The Jackpot: What’s Actually New
Standard Mines games have two tile outcomes: safe (win multiplier) or mine (lose). Jackpot Mines adds a third: the jackpot tile. Revealing it awards the entire progressive jackpot pool — an amount that grows with each qualifying bet placed by all players.
This is structurally similar to progressive jackpots in slot machines: a portion of each qualifying bet feeds the pool, and one lucky player triggers the full payout. The jackpot adds approximately 0.5% to the theoretical RTP for qualifying bets, bringing the overall figure to ~97%.
The qualification threshold matters enormously. Only bets of ≥60 units contribute to and are eligible for the jackpot. Below this threshold, you’re playing a Mines game with ~96-96.5% base RTP — decent but unremarkable. Above it, you get the jackpot eligibility that pushes overall RTP to ~97%. At minimum bets ($0.10), the RTP can drop to 88% — essentially a different game.

The Bottom Line
Jackpot Mines brings a genuinely novel feature to the Mines category: a progressive jackpot that no competitor offers. For players making qualifying bets (≥60 units), the 97% RTP is competitive with Spribe Mines, and the jackpot adds an extra layer of excitement that pure multiplier games can’t match.
But the bet-dependent RTP is a serious issue. At minimum stakes, you’re playing an 88% RTP game — worse than most slots, dramatically worse than any other Mines variant.
